This article explains technical details about LEMR software. If you are an IT Support Engineer or a Managed Service Provider, this article will help you configure your security applications to allow LEMR to work in your environment.
LEMR connects your Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system with your diagnostic medical device software. To enable LEMR to work, it must interoperate with all of the affected software. Our system also involves relaying data through our cloud server. This sophistcated system does occasionally run into issues where security software blocks some features. This document will help a technical support engineer add exceptions to allow LEMR to run properly.

Security applications known to block LEMR features:
C:\Program Files\LEMR\*
Executables and DLL files in this folder and its subfolders will need to be allowed to run.
C:\ProgramData\LEMR\*
Executables and DLL files in this folder and its subfolders will need to run in order to execute automatic LEMR updates smoothly. LEMR will also need read and write access for the logs and database files in this folder.
%temp%\LEMR*.exe
Automatic LEMR updates will be downloaded to the user's %temp% folder, extracted to that folder, and executed from that folder. These executables will need to be allowed to run for the automatic update process to work properly. More information about automatic updates can be found here: LEMR - Troubleshooting Update Issues | LEMR Wiki
All of the LEMR executables and DLL files are digitally signed by our code signing certificate to ensure files are valid. This signature can be used to ensure only valid LEMR files are executed (if supported by the application control software).

Important note:
Individual application rules will apply for the medical device vendor's products. Please confirm which devices are to be used by the site so we can provide specific rules for those devices.
Simple application filtering rules are as follows:
%LocalAppData%\Cardioline\touchECG\*
Executables and DLL files in this folder and its subfolders will need to run in order to execute this application.
Example: C:\Users\nurse\AppData\Local\Cardioline\touchECG
