This guide provides a step-by-step procedure for importing a test from LEMR Server and downloading it into MedicalDirector Clinical.
Open the LEMR MD Widget from the MD Sidebar. A summary page will appear if there are no patients open
In MD Clinical version 4.2 and earlier, the list of unimported tests is broken up into 2 sections:
In MD Clinical version 4.3 and later, the list of unimported tests is the Ready to Import list.
This will provide you with a list of tests that will need to be imported into each patient's file.
Remember to come back to the summary page by closing all the patient files until you are back to the main MD Clinical window.
1. Open the patient you'd like to import tests for in MedicalDirector Clinical.
2. If the test can link to the patient automatically, the import will occur and you will see a note appear in the .
If the test does not automatically import (a manual test from LEMR Client), in the LEMR MD Widget click on either Manual Import or Import.

3. You can then click the test you'd like to import.
4. Then proceed by clicking the ‘Download’ button on the test.
5. A warning may appear if the tests your importing have different demographics to the patient in MD Clinical.
This could result in the import of test data into the wrong patient's file.
6. The test will then be imported into the patient in MD Clinical.
When the full list is done, you will see there are no more tests to be imported from the summary screen.
The LEMR MD Widget summary page will appear if there are no patients open.
In MD Clinical version 4.2 and earlier, the list of unimported tests is broken up into 2 sections:
Both of these should now say there are 0 tests to be imported.
In MD Clinical version 4.3 and later, the list of unimported tests is the Ready to Import list.
This should now say 0 in the blue circle indicating that there are no tests ready to import.
