Error: The error is 4104

On PCs running Office Medic to perform a Spirometry test, the default printer that is set in Windows matters. If the printer driver is malfunctioning, you may end up with the following error.

When this occurs, go into the Printers control panel item and see what printers are set as default. If one is not set, tell Windows to stop managing default printers and set a default printer that works. More information on this can be found below.

If you try to go into the properties for the current default printer and see something like the following, the printer driver has an issue and will need to be reinstalled.

Printer Properties: The ‘Microsoft IPP Class Driver’ printer driver is not installed on this computer. Some printer properties will not be accessible unless you install the printer driver. Do you want to install the driver now?

If printing on that PC is not required, simply set the default printer to “Microsoft Print to PDF” or another printer driver (you can set up a null printer with an old simple printer driver if required; LEMR customers can contact us for assistance with this. Once these issues are resolved, PDF production for Spirometry in Office Medic, when used through LEMR or in any other integrated solution, should work again.
