If you experience "Error extracting support files: Catastrophic failure" when installing Medikro Spirometry Software v4.7.0 and above (during installation of Medikro components), please follow the instructions below to resolve the issue.
1. Go to C:\Program Files (x86)\InstallShield Installation Information
2. Rename folders containing files related only to Medikro components (inspect ini files and other files inside to confirm)
3. Uninstall any Medikro components that appear in Add/remove programs
4. Re-install Medikro Spirometry Software.

Applies to Medikro Spirometry software 4.8 and 4.9: When opening the software, as Medikro’s Measurements and Results window starts to load, the following error may occur:
There are two solutions to this.
Reinstall or upgrade Medikro Spirometry Software (a newer version than the one currently installed is preferred), or
The best solution in this case is solution 1 as it will install the LabVIEW components with the correct version during installation. The LabView installer can usually be found in the following path: C:\Medikro\LVRTE\LV2014runtime.msi
Option 2 may cause compatibility problems as it is an untested newer version of LabVIEW.
Note: during installation, if the LabView component fails to install, the following message appears at the end of the installation which advises where the LabView installer for this version of Medikro Spirometry Software can be found. You can usually reboot the computer and run the installer from the path shown (C:\Medikro\LVRTE\LV2014runtime.msi) to complete the installation of LabView.
