Solution
Always do backups first! Use the following information at your own risk! Also, be sure to close any apps that are using the BPDevice interface (BPDevice.dll - this includes LEMRBP.exe if it can be seen in the task manager) before you go through these steps.
1. Open C:\Windows\Microsoft.NET\assembly\GAC_MSIL\ and delete the following subfolders if they exist:
BPDevice
BPDevice.Data
Note: if the files can't be deleted due to being in use, check for and close LEMRBP.exe or any other applications that would be using the BPDevice interface then try again.
2. Open Windows File Explorer and go to C:\Program Files\Best Practice Software\BPS\BPSupport\
3. Run BPDeviceUninstall.exe (if it exists)
Click Yes on the UAC prompt. If this window requests a username and password, you will need to enter Administrative credentials first then click Yes.
4. Run BPDeviceInstall.exe
Click Yes on the UAC prompt. If this window requests a username and password, you will need to enter Administrative credentials first then click Yes.
5. Check C:\Windows\Microsoft.NET\assembly\GAC_MSIL\BPDevice\ for the existence of any subfolders. There should be one called v4.0_1.1.9.0__093d1fdeef495a0c (or something like this) and inside there should be a file named BPDevice.dll. If there is more than one folder in C:\Windows\Microsoft.NET\assembly\GAC_MSIL\BPDevice\ or if the folder or contents is missing, please contact us for support. Otherwise, if the subfolder and file exists, you should be good to go! A reboot is typically not required after this procedure, though if you continue to have issues, try restarting the PC first.
