[OK] [Metrological inspection was done externally…]
According to the accreditation guidelines/standards followed by General Practices across Australia, ABPM devices need to be validated and inspected every 12 months to ensure the device is providing valid readings and is servicable. These AMEDTEC ABPM devices also contain a non-user-servicable internal battery that needs replacement every year or two for its internal timer to function correctly among other things.
The Australian AMEDTEC importer, Wolfmed, can provide this inspection and device service as they have the correct equipment and protocols to ensure the device is in top shape. They also offer a fast turn around so you can get back to using your device quickly and are located in Sydney.
As of the time of writing this article (10/10/2023), the fee for this service is $195+GST not including freight.
This includes device disassembly, battery replacement and performing the calibration routine.
