There are some cases where it may be necessary to manually pair with the Amedtec Bluetooth ECG (if your device does not appear in ECGpro using the standard pairing procedure shown above). If this is the case, the following steps may be useful.
Windows 11 manual pairing:
Important: the maximum number of PC pairing is 16 for every CardioPart 12 Blue. This pairing list can be reset. Devices up to S/N A1308070602 need to be sent in to AMEDTEC for clearing. For devices with S/N A1308070603 and later, the pairings can be reset by yourself:
How to reset the pairing list on the device (S/N A1308070603 and later):
1. Switch on the CardioPart 12 Blue device
2. Press and hold the power button for about 10 seconds until the Battery and Online LEDs are illuminated, then release the power button
3. Wait for about 1 second
4. Press and hold the power button again > both LEDs start flashing > keep the button pressed until the LEDs have stopped flashing - only then release the button
5. The device’s pairing list has been erased, and the device can be paired again another 16 times
There are a few important notes in relation to the Logilink Bluetooth 4.0 USB Adaptor that comes in the box with the Amedtec CardioPart 12 Blue-P Bluetooth ECG. These points are as follows:
1. Do not install the custom drivers for the Logilink Bluetooth Adaptor. The generic Bluetooth drivers/stack provided by Windows and Windows Update on Windows 10 and Windows 11 systems will work with ECGpro. The custom driver will not allow the device to be added in ECGpro. Simply plug and play then follow the guide titled Amedtec CardioPart 12 Blue-P Bluetooth ECG - Pairing
If you installed the drivers from the Logilink website, take the following steps:
1. Uninstall the item named CSR Harmony Bluetooth Stack from Add/Remove Programs
2. Using Device Manager, right click on the CSR Bluetooth device (under the Bluetooth node, if it exists) and choose uninstall - ensure you tick the box to remove the driver software from your computer
3. Still in Device Manager, scan for hardware changes in your PC - keep removing the driver in device manager as per step 2 until you have the default Microsoft drivers (not the CSR driver). If you see a device named CSR_BTPORT_01 appear in Unknown Devices instead of the generic Bluetooth drivers in the screenshot below, the CSR Bluetooth device may not be uninstalled properly. Please call LEMR Support.
The end result should look like this in device manager:
Now you should be able to pair the Amedtec ECG with your computer!

2. If you already have a Bluetooth adaptor in your PC, use that first. DO NOT connect any other Bluetooth dongle to the PC, even the Logilink Bluetooth 4.0 USB Adaptor provided with Amedtec CardioPart 12 Blue-P Bluetooth ECG. Bluetooth will likely fail to operate if you have more than one Bluetooth adaptor on your PC.
3. Don't use the Windows pairing process as the first option. Try though ECGpro first using the guide at Amedtec CardioPart 12 Blue-P Bluetooth ECG - Pairing. If that fails, then try the guide at Amedtec CardioPart 12 Blue-P Bluetooth ECG - Manual Pairing.

A new blue-coloured ABPM data cable can be obtained that is fully compatible with Windows 11 and works with the Amedtec Holter-RR ABPM devices and the Welch Allyn ABPM devices used with Cardio Perfect. If you still have the older green-coloured USB cable, please follow the information below for working around the issue. The new cable is a more permanent solution.
Windows 11 attempts to install a new driver from Windows Update for the Amedtec ABPM's USB cable that doesn't allow communication on Windows 11. After rolling back the driver in Device Manager, the USB cable and ABPM device will communicate fine again, though next time Windows Updates runs, the new driver will be installed again, which will stop the communication with the USB cable and ABPM device again.
The following steps will stop that new Windows Update driver from installing and preserve the device's operation:
1. Remove the device titled “PL2303TA DOES NOT SUPPORT WINDOWS 11…” from Windows Device Manager - Right click on the device and choose Uninstall device.
Be sure to tick the Delete the driver software for this device box before clicking Uninstall.
The new driver will be removed and an older (working) driver for the device will be installed in its place.
2. Click on the Scan for hardware changes button in device manager. A Prolific USB-to-Serial Comm Port device will now be there.
3. Download the Windows Update Show/Hide Tool from the following link: http://download.microsoft.com/download/f/2/2/f22d5fdb-59cd-4275-8c95-1be17bf70b21/wushowhide.diagcab

No need to worry that it refers to Windows 10 and not Windows 11; this tool still works fine for this purpose
In the event that the Microsoft website moves or removes the download, the tool can also be found here (downloaded 4/8/2022): /wushowhide.diagcab
4. Run the wushowhide.diagcab file downloaded in step 2 and answer Yes to the UAC elevation prompt if it appears.
5. Click on the Next button to begin searching for updates.
6. Click on the Hide updates tile.
7. Tick any item(s) in the list that starts with Prolific - Ports then click on the Next button.
8. Follow the remaining prompts and close the troubleshooter - the new broken driver should not return!
