This tool is not perfect and comes without warranty! It is, however, helpful to apply the best starting defaults (in our opinion from years of experience) for the use of the Amedtec ECGpro in Australia. A few important things to note:
- Any settings that are part of this tool will be overwritten with new values from the tool.
- The clinic details entry in the tool currently has an issue where some special characters like slashes (*, &, / or \) are not escaped properly which can result in the tool failing to apply some or all of the settings; avoid using the clinic details setting component if you are in doubt as this can be set up in the Amedtec ECGpro settings anytime you like at a later date.
If you run this, as an Administrator immediately after a fresh installation of ECGpro on a workstation, many of the important defaults such as lead labelling, ECG speed, print layouts, etc will be applied to each new Windows user when they open ECGpro for the first time in their Windows profile. Otherwise, you can run this as any user at any time (even for a standard Windows user) and the settings should apply just fine also for that user.
Admins, if you need to script these defaults on login of a Windows user, you can extract the PCSettingsCustom.cnf from the following zip file: /20241004_pcsettingscustom.zip
To apply this PCSettingsCustom.cnf configuration file on a 64-bit PC, you can use the following example batch file line for guideance:
Note that you must ensure the ECGpro SQL Server instance running before you can apply these settings. If the SQL instance is on a local computer, this service is typically named "SQL Server (AMEDTEC)". Also, the PCSettingsCustom.cnf defaults to muscle and power filters on for use in Australia, and doesn't ask you to set the clinic details, whereas the settings adjuster tool gives you the choice relating to these adjustments.
2. Once all leads are connected, the big Start Auto button will become available - click this to start the 10 second resting ECG capture
3. When the review window appears, click the Save button to complete the test

¶ Amedtec CardioPart 12 Blue P Bluetooth ECG Manual Pairing
There are some cases where it may be necessary to manually pair with the Amedtec Bluetooth ECG (if your device does not appear in ECGpro using the standard pairing procedure shown above). If this is the case, the following steps may be useful.
Windows 11 manual pairing:
Open Windows Settings > Bluetooth & devices
Turn on the Bluetooth toggle switch if it is turned off
Turn on your Amedtec Bluetooth ECG (one push of the round circle button on the device - the green light next to the button will illuminate)
Click Add device
An item should appear in the list named CardioPart 12 Blue (A22xxxxxxxx) then click Connect
Enter the PIN number for the device. The PIN should be the same on every Amedtec Bluetooth ECG device. Pairing pin number: 08280
Ensure the device now appears in the Other devices list

Important: the maximum number of PC pairing is 16 for every CardioPart 12 Blue. This pairing list can be reset. Devices up to S/N A1308070602 need to be sent in to AMEDTEC for clearing. For devices with S/N A1308070603 and later, the pairings can be reset by yourself:

¶ Logilink Bluetooth 4.0 USB Adaptor provided with Amedtec CardioPart 12 Blue-P Bluetooth ECG
There are a few important notes in relation to the Logilink Bluetooth 4.0 USB Adaptor that comes in the box with the Amedtec CardioPart 12 Blue-P Bluetooth ECG. These points are as follows:
1. Do not install the custom drivers for the Logilink Bluetooth Adaptor. The generic Bluetooth drivers/stack provided by Windows and Windows Update on Windows 10 and Windows 11 systems will work with ECGpro. The custom driver will not allow the device to be added in ECGpro. Simply plug and play then follow the guide titled Amedtec CardioPart 12 Blue-P Bluetooth ECG - Pairing
If you installed the drivers from the Logilink website, take the following steps:
1. Uninstall the item named CSR Harmony Bluetooth Stack from Add/Remove Programs
2. Using Device Manager, right click on the CSR Bluetooth device (under the Bluetooth node, if it exists) and choose uninstall - ensure you tick the box to remove the driver software from your computer
3. Still in Device Manager, scan for hardware changes in your PC - keep removing the driver in device manager as per step 2 until you have the default Microsoft drivers (not the CSR driver). If you see a device named CSR_BTPORT_01 appear in Unknown Devices instead of the generic Bluetooth drivers in the screenshot below, the CSR Bluetooth device may not be uninstalled properly. Please call LEMR Support.
The end result should look like this in device manager:
Microsoft Bluetooth Enumerators
Now you should be able to pair the Amedtec ECG with your computer!

2. If you already have a Bluetooth adaptor in your PC, use that first. DO NOT connect any other Bluetooth dongle to the PC, even the Logilink Bluetooth 4.0 USB Adaptor provided with Amedtec CardioPart 12 Blue-P Bluetooth ECG. Bluetooth will likely fail to operate if you have more than one Bluetooth adaptor on your PC.
If you are having issues connecting to your AMEDTEC Holter-RR 24-Hour ABPM or Welch Allyn ABPM 7100 device, if you check on the driver in the Device Manager and see “PL2303TA DO NOT SUPPORT WINDOWS 11 OR LATER, PLEASE CONTACT YOUR SUPPLIER”, please go to the following link for more information: https://wiki.lemr.com/en/support/technical-support/amedtec-abpm-windows-11-driver
